Button Swap Deux

Today my Button Swap parcel arrived. It came all the from the USA from a lovely woman called Shannon. Those of you who know me will be aware of my passion for vintage. I've often thought about the reasons why I'm drawn to 'old' things and it's because each item has a story to tell and I love the romance of that. So, you will understand why I was thrilled to receive a wonderful collection of buttons that once belonged to Shannon's Great Grandma. Not only that but she sent a photo of her as well so that I didn't even have to imagine what she looked like. There she was standing next to her sister. Great Grandma Mae Bell is on the right. Look at those frocks - OH, gorgeous!

Not only did Shannon send buttons, she also sent goodies including a recipe for Lavender lemonade...

...a pack of Busy Babies transfers that I'm going to embroider...

...and a hand crafted sock bag that's beautifully made How cute is that?! It already holds my favourite socks!
